I developed the digital content strategy to support a U.S.-based campaign highlighting Nielsen’s first-to-market data delivery on Friday mornings. For 12 weeks, I led the creation of on-trend, newsworthy articles to promote the insights generated from this data. This content complimented a client-focused email outreach campaign, playing a crucial role in helping to launch and sustain this campaign while also expanding reach and awareness exponentially. I was recognized for my contribution to the overall effort with a company award.

 

Plastic Sales Stay Strong.

With plastic straws making headlines in the summer of 2018, I combed through the data to understand how overall plastic sales were affected. For the week ending Aug. 4, 2018, sales remained strong.

Ahead of the return of Starbuck’s infamous Pumpkin Spice Latte in August 2018, I explored overall sales of the flavoring across the store. Not surprisingly, pumpkin sales were up from the year before.

Editing for Clarity Showcases the Value of Agile Innovation.

I worked directly with analysts to help shape a year-long series exploring how agile practices from the tech industry could be used to improve innovation within the consumer goods industry. By using human-language, I was able to shape the content into a clearer set articles and boost engagement.

Unlike software developers, consumer goods companies don’t have the luxury of failing fast. Rather they need to fail smarter. In this article, I tightened up the introduction to remove lengthy summaries of previously published content and lead with the engaging story of Nikola Tesla.
